About 30 minutes later, I checked the TA and the light was steady.
I get all the SDV channels now.
And get this....an hour after I got off the phone with TWC, Adam from TWC called me to see if all was working correctly!

Yea - I hadn't gotten the letter yet. Just the printout like the others. They gave me the coax jumpers too and the USB cable. The other posts are right - they are keeping them at Rotterdam, Clifton Park, and Pittsfield MA. I guess they're probably getting as many adapters as needed for those who signed up and therefore are limiting distribution to make sure they don't run out. Thatd be my take on it.

Oh yeah...I didn't get my "letter" from TWC in today's mail, either. yeah me either.. and the twc rep on the phone was so insistent they wouldn't give me the tuning adapter without the letter.. the big thing I've learned from this whole experience is how there are 20 different stories and rules and updates that all depend on which rep you get.. they need to start having more meetings and keeping everyone on the same page.. its really pathetic

Please vote in the poll if you have a TiVo. I'd like to see how many of us there are with TiVos.

I guess I'll be waiting 2 more weeks for mine then.
Not driving all the way to Schenectady just for that. Plus I'm leaving on Friday for a week on vacation, so should I take bets if by the time I'm back that two weekends from now:
a) I'll have a letter from TWC? b) Washington Ave will have them?

HA! I got my letter from TWC today. Hurnik, it states you can call and have them send the TA via UPS to your home. This may be the best option for you. Here's the letter:

I went to the Lee, MA office this morning and they do not have the adapters. They said that the Pittsfield office did have them. I asked them to call the Pittsfield office and ask if they would give me an adapter without the letter (although I had the email confirmation) and they (Pittsfield) said no the letter was needed.
I have to say that the MA locations (Lee/Pittsfield) have ALWAYS given me TERRIBLE customer service. They NEVER make things easy for the customer and I've dealt with them several times. And I am one NOT to complain - trust me.
Thank god someone posted the letter - because that at least shows they are going out. Please reply if you have gotten the letter as well.
Also, if I do not get an adapter my next week, I am prepared to cancel down to basic service. Almost all the channels I like in HD are not avail to me.
Has anyone every gotten any kinda of credit this whole mess?

Why not call the number in the letter and have them ship you the TA?

Got my letter today, too. Not that I have a TiVo, and actually I gave up on the CC for my CC-capable LG 32LX1D because of SDV. But I might have TW ship me an adapter anyway, just because they offered to do it...
and, bdaoust, I have received credits on my bill twice in the past. Once was for repeated CC issues prior to the SDV rollout, and the other was related to the freeze-and-reboot problems that the SA4250 box used to have (when TW's official solution to a frozen picture was to change the channel). Both times I got credit for the cable portion of my bill. But you have to find a sympathetic CSR, and most of them just don't give a hoot.

I finally received my letter, it's a good thing I didn't need to bring i to a Tuning Adapter. That buys us a year or two until TWC rolls out Tru2Way. I'll be ready for a TiVo Series 4 by then.

Well having them ship me one is an option - however - knowing them - it will take forever. I just want to go to Pittsfield and pick it up. But can't till I have the letter. Hopefully I'll have it in a few days.

Thanks Skaggs. Guess what showed up in my mailbox this afternoon?
For some strange reason they're only "deploying" them from Clifton Park and Schenectady. (are those their "main" headquarters?) Or maybe the majority of us Tivo owners don't live in Albany?
But UPS is fine (i'll even pay the shipping).

I received the letter today as well.
Of course I live in Colonie and cannot drive any longer for medical reasons, so I had to order one shipped via UPS.
The CSR I spoke to said that it will take a week to arrive, which seems a little long, but I can live with it.
The other thing I was told is if my account is ever cancelled and the TA and cablecards are not returned, there will be a $250 penalty. Has anyone else heard about this?
