I went to the Highbridge Road office at 8:30AM and picked up my two TA's.
I went to the woman on the left, who was 50ish and slightly overweight. She asked me for my "letter" and I handed her a printout of the reply email I received when I filled out the online signup form. She also asked for ID.
The TA's come in a brown cardboard box and there were 4 left on the shelf after I took my 2. there must be more in the back?
In the box is the TA, power supply, and a USB cable. I asked for and received, two small coax cables.
Good luck getting yours. I won't be able to hook them up until I get home from work later tonight.

Just got back. I went to the same woman as Skaggs. She asked for my "confirmation email", I presented it, she looked me up on a 4 page list of names (I was at the bottom of page 4...I'm guessing that was sorted reverse chronologically), marked off my name, gave me the box, and that was that. There were 5 left on the shelf, I asked if there were more and she said there were in the warehouse.
Now to see if it works....

I just went down to TWC with a printout of the email and they handed me a Tuning Adapter. They did check my name off a list, to verify that I was signed up for one.
They had more TA's on the shelf, they just don't have enough to stack 300 or so tuning adapters on the shelf. I asked what they did if you have more than one Tivo HD or Series 3 and they said they would give you enough TA's.
I wouldn't worry about rushing down there, if you got the letter or a call from TWC in the last day or so, you should be OK.

I work from home. Another update...plugged the box in and got a steady flashing light. Rebooted everything multiple times with no luck. Called the local help desk (869-5500) and talked to someone that hadn't touched a TA yet. He had only gotten an email about it earlier today. I told him how it worked, and what to look for on his end based on issues people have reported on the TiVo msg boards. It turns out the lady assigned the box to my account, but didn't assigned my services to the box. Once he did that the box immediately went to solid green and I can view all the SDV channels. Yay!

Peekb - thanks a bunch for the heads-up! I spent an hour on the phone with TW trying to solve the blinking light problem and nothing worked. We'd scheduled a truck for Tuesday afternoon. Then I read your message, called them back and my light was solid green in 2 minutes flat. All is well.
The bad news for other folks is that the first guy I talked to said they are out of TA's at High Bridge at this point. Don't know if that's true, but it's a note of caution.

An addendum: independent of all my interactions with TW, I just got a call from somebody on their Tuning Adapter team just looking for feedback. They are apparently quite determined to get these things rolled out successfully here. They told me to call them with any problems of any kind and apologized for the confusion caused by their internal software that led to the "blinking green light" problem.
It took awhile, but they seem to be getting their act together for us TiVo types at last.

does the high bridge office have a public phone number? All I can find is the generic twc albany phone number.

I can work from home on occasion and I had already planned on being home....
I had to call TWC to get the TA to work too. The LED was blinking 8 times in row, with a 2 second pause. It took about 30 minutes to get it going and we had to power the TA down a few times. Now it's working. It sounds like they have to enable the TA once you hook it up. It's going to be a busy day for TWC support.
I did have funny thing happen. I had the Tivo on 1825 while testing and it kept coming up blank during the SDV test. The other channels were fine, just 1825. It turned out that both tuners were on 1825 and since one was never changing from 1825, the TiVo and/or the TA was not sending the signal back to the mothership. Once I switched to the 2nd tuner and changed channels, 825 started working.

Got my tuning adapter from the Rotterdam office today (apparently they only have them at the Rotterdam (1021 Highbridge) and Clifton Park payment centers) You had to have the letter I signed up for here: www.timewarnercable.com/albany/Products/Cable/sdv/default.html but I got it home and it works great in my TiVo (they're only avail for the TiVo later models). I finally get all the channels my cablebox tv does!! It's about time! Awesome! Still no letter from TW (other than the email) You saying the Wash Ave extension doesn't have them? Grrrr, I love the fact that I signed up and haven't gotten notified yet (doesn't surprise me though to be honest).

I hooked up both TA's and I've got a flashing light on both.
Called TWC...told first CSR that I wanted to speak to someone familiar with troubleshooting the Tuning Adapters. Was placed on hold for 30 seconds.
Adam picked up (x4421). He explained that the TA's need to download TWC specific software and it is taking between 45-60 minutes to do so. He advised me to wait an hour then check to see if the flashing light has gone steady.
He checked both TA's from his end and was able to tell me the length of time each TA had been connected to TWC's system. He also told me that the "singal levels" were "perfect" on each box.
So, I'll wait an hour and see if the flashing light goes solid.
