Chris, I'm getting pixelation on the Sci-Fi for BSG last night as well. Perhaps it is the TA or TW? I'm still not ruling out the TA, but my drive came up as failed under the TiVo diagnostics. I'm still under warranty so I should have a replacement in a few days. I just know that callign TW, they will blame TiVo first. It does seem that multiple people are reporting pixeliztion with the same show, the HD stuff records without any problems If you are out of warranty, you might as well get a larger drive form some place like weaknees.

I ran all the test on my Tivo S3 and they all passed. I don't have pixelation on the analogs or non-sdv HD's, just the SDV HD's.

This morning my TiVo was unable to pick up any channels. This affected SDV and non-SDV channels. I unplugged the tuning adapter, waited 30 seconds, and plugged it back in. The TA displayed a steady blinking light for a couple of minutes, until the TiVo saw the TA gain. At that point, the TA displayed a steady green light and the TiVo could access the channels again.
Something is definitely not completely baked between the TiVo and the TA. I was on hold with a TW CSR and he conferred with a HD technician over the problem with the "Tivo adapter", as he calls it. I then spoke with that woman, who was more knowledgeable about the setup.
She was unaware of any problems with the Tuning Adapter but she did say that if I knew anyone having pixelization problems for them to call and report the problem. Based on my description of the problem, there may be an issue with the Sci-Fi channel.
Has anyone else had a problem with the pixelization? I have had it happen twice, and in both cases it was recording the BSG on Sci Fi channel. That's seems to be too much of a coincidence to be a hardware error with TiVo or the tuning adapter. I've been recording other shows (HD and non-HD) without any problems.

I have had pixelization on the Starz HD channels, both with the TiVo (& tuning adapter) and with my TWC box.

I got my TA delivered. Everything went fine with the hookup except I only get SD channels on cablecard 2. Thw TW guy just left and he said he thinks I need one of the cablecards to be multi-stream. He had the backend guys send out info to cablecard 1 and said if it doesn't work in 24 hours to call back. Does anyone know anything about single-stream vs, multi-stream cablecards? I have a Tivo series 3 HD.

That figures, I just got the email that my replacement TiVo was shipped today. I may end up sending the replacement back and keeping the original if the problem is entirely on the TW end. At least I can run the TiVo check disk. If it works, then I'll keep the original. If it fails, I'll already have the replacement. Did the TWC guy say if the pixelization problems were only happening to tuning adapter users?

I have a Tivo series 3 HD. You do not need a multi-stream cablecard in the S3. If one is installed, it will just use it in single-stream mode anyway. The S3 needs two cablecards to be able to use both tuners. It does not matter whether they are single-stream or multi-stream cards.

It took the guy a while to figure out that, in his words, the TA was assigned to my account but it wasn't tied to my cablecards. Once he did tie them together, it started to work.

No it was everybody and I have been see it on my Tivo and SA8300, probably once every 1 - 2 hours or so. I get full drops and pixelization on my 4250HDC and my TiVo with TA on pretty much all channels, but the SDV channels do seem to be worse. Signal levels via the 4250HDC service menu as well as the TiVo "Channel Strength" option are very high at all times that I've checked. On the 4250HDC I watch the error bits increase every time the channel flakes out.

On my TivoHD I'm seeing the SR Corrected (or is it RS corrected--I'm not at my TV right now).
I guess we all need to call and complain to TW as there's no way this many (including the 4250 HDC Cable box) isn't a TW/Cable card issue.
Getting pixelation issues on 550 (Fox news) and pixelation on practically all the SDV channels again.
