If they got rid of some of those analog stations, then there'd be little need for SDV. Although I'm sure that HSN and QVC get watched a lot.

Two of the three new stations added today are SDV:
1843 Travel HD
1872 ESPNews HD
The local MyNetworkTV affiliate is not SDV:
1804 WNYA HD

I'm getting a lot of macroblocking on my SDV channels only. Watching HBO HD, SNY HD, etc are all perfect (levels on the box show 0db and 4db respectively). When I turn to Starz HD or TBS HD or anything SDV, it gets all jumpy. Levels there show -13db to -19db and 4db to 6db respectively.
Is this happening to anyone else? Would this be a problem with my HD DVR, the signal coming into my house, or with the signal being provided by Time Warner? Just want to know what the deal might be before I call them

Did 1837 (Discovery HD Theater) go SDV?
I can't tune it with CC.

I don't think 1837 HD Theater is SDV. I can tune to it fine and I am currently having issues with all SDV channels on my STB so that leads me to believe it is not SDV.

I am currently at my mother's apartment in Queensbury and when I attempt to watch any of the SDV HD channels it first says "tuning, one moment please" then "This channel is not currently available. Please try again later." I am using the 8300HD STB.
Is anyone else having this issue?
Edit: nevermind, I reset the box and the problem is solved.

I am also having trouble with my cable, it happens on the hdtv channels that are sdv, starz's nat geo channel, mtvhd hbo west cinemax hd channels and other's I get freezing and break ups? if they don't fix this problem I am going to direct tv?

Did 1837 (Discovery HD Theater) go SDV? I can't tune it with CC. The diagnostic menu on my 8300HD DVR states channel 1837 is "broadcast" or not SDV. However, I cannot tune 1837 on my TiVo HD. |

I called Chris Kaling on his cell phone and left a voicemail. He called me back and left a voicemail stating he would come over to my house to see what's up whenever I was available. I was busy tonight, so hopefully tomorrow.
