Looks like several TWC Divisions across the country launched ESPN HD today, Raliegh, Charlotte, San Diego, Austin and Tampa (brighthouse). Its possible the deal is finally done!

I've been monitoring ESPN HD's homepage on the ESPN site, and the latest press release is that ESPN2 HD is coming in January 2005. Haven't seen a press release that says they've come to agreement w/ TWC. They usually put out a press release when a cable company starts carrying the HD channel.

The agreement was reached late Friday. 7 TWC Divisions already have ESPN HD on their lineup as of yesterday. Look for a press release shortly, trust me, the deal is done. Check out AVS forums if you need more proof. I have also heard from my sources the deal good thru 2005.

I needs my Sunday Night Football... And I need to see Dan Patrick in Hi-Def... Don't ask... Does this also mean other HD Disney channels will be showing up shortly?

Alot of local TWC websites around the country are down right now...perhaps posting ESPN HD info? (Wishful thinking on my part perhaps..)..based on what's happening in SD, Columbus and KC. I expect ESPN to be a TWC premium HD channel here...that may be what's holding carriage up here while the TWC execs figure out how to market and sell it along with other HD stuff that just got much more valuable to them...In these other markets INHD, in addition to HD Net are on a premium tier so...the arrival of ESPN HD in the Capital District may be a "good news/bad news situation"...good in that we finally get it...bad in that we'll have to pay for it and maybe for INHD as well!!! As for me...I'm ready and willing to pay for it!!! GET THAT BABY ON THE WIRE!!!

It will be up and running shortly, no info on prices, assuming it will be part of the HD tier, and will obviously have a cost involved, this was the major holdup. Word has it will be up by Sunday Night Football. This is huge for TWC's HD lineup.

What about Stuart Scott's bi-colored eyes? Hey, you could compare Kornheiser and Berman's comb-overs!!!

Has anyone contacted TWC Albany & ask when ESPN HD will be added? Any responses? I sent emails out to my TWC contacts and have not received any replies. Leads me to start thinking they will charge us for it and are thinking of a way to market it to us. The email addresses for general HD contacts at TWC are listed on the HDTV Contacts page.
