Espn has the channel linup for their live sports, but if those of you who are home could let me know what their full lineup is, I'd appreciate it, I'm at work and I'm curious as to what their full lineup is. That's the HD Lineup. Also assume ALL SportsCenters are in HiDef as well.

You have to hand it to TWC. They have been slammin', first NBC now ESPN-HD at the last moment. I think WRGB (CBS) will be very soon. Agreed. Very exciting... Too bad their Salute the Troops SportsCenter isn't in HiDef...

TNT-HD, but you're right, I forgot about that one. Know Skaggs made a mistake, but you'd think channels like TBS or even FX would be on the HD bandwagon now. I mean, shows like Nip/Tuck, Rescue Me, and The Shield all SCREAM Hi Def.

Am I correct to assume this is the sticking point with TWC and WRGB?

This begs the question: When ESPN and TWC were negotiating a couple of months ago for ESPNHD, did TWC know about the ESPN2HD, or was ESPN holding that announcement close to the vest?

Any news on ESPN2HD coming to TWC yet? I e-mailed Peter Taubkin, and have not heard from him.

Ever since Duece Bigalow concluded last night at 10PM, color bars have been displayed on TWC's Channel 1808. However, the regular FOX channel 0008 has regular programming. Is that STILL happening this morning? Is there a problem?

What little I did watch of Sunday night's NFL game on ESPN HD (8/19/04) had great picture quality. I didn't get a chance to watch Sportcenter in HD to see if they had all the highlights in HD from the other networks. (CBS & FOX) ESPN HD's picture quality is similar to ABC's, which are both great, IMHO. Probably because of the 720p standard and the fact that they are both owned by Disney. They did have the highlights in HD. I noticed this last week when they had highlights from the Red Sox/Devil Rays game. If the game was broacast in HD, they'll have the highlights in HD.

Hmmm, when will TWAlbany follow suit? If we are going to pay for it, should I let TW know now that I want it since it's in the pipeline? And if it IS activated, would it require a STB reboot, which means that it won't come until the next day?

I don't think there's any need for anxiety here...if one looks at the ESPN HD website the next live HD event is a college football game on Thursday 9/16...I'm betting that TWC has the issue resolved and the service available by then...till that time all you are missing on ESPN HD are the Sports Center "motor mouth/wise guys" in Hi Def....personally I can't stomach watching those clowns in normal reso...give me games...not faces and "too slick" wisecracks!!!! But Mel Kiper Jr.'s hair and Mort himself must be viewed in Hi-Def ASAP... It just has to happen... Honestly, I'm just excited, that's all.

I have been notified by a very good source that the info hypothesized in the above two posts is indeed correct. Then just do it already, TWC. I'm very anxious. Need my ESPN fill...

Does the $120 include HBO HD, Showtime HD, and the two HDNets? Yes it does. All included. I don't know if ESPN-HD would be a la carte in my world, or because I have HDNet I'll get it...

If that's the case, it will be disappointing to lose two HD channels, while the bill stays the same. As much as I like the sports on ESPN, something tells me Cable would cost 10 cents a month if they weren't on there...

I am going to GUESS that this will be on Channel 1824. Pontification: If they charge for it, will it be a la carte, lumped with HDnet/HDnet Movies or will TNT-HD, Discovery HD Theater, INHD & INHD2 stop being included in the digital tier, in order to create a more compelling HD tier? Time will tell. BTW, is there anyone out there with all HD channels on TWC? What's the monthly bill come to on that? (Including FCC fees, taxes, remote, STBs,etc.) I guess you could save $5 if you have a cable-card ready HDTV monitor. I have it all, but since I'm a DigiPic guy, I have some discounts. My cable bill is $120, which includes Road Runner and Cable w/ 2 DVR boxes.

Has anyone contacted TWC Albany & ask when ESPN HD will be added? Any responses? I sent emails out to my TWC contacts and have not received any replies. Leads me to start thinking they will charge us for it and are thinking of a way to market it to us. If they're reading, I have a suggestion: It's ESPN-HD. I mean, c'mon! Charge me, don't charge me, just get it on there. It's SOOOO worth it. After this, TWC can then get CBS, Bravo, Starz, etc in Hi Def. Would make people like me happy.
