Pinch me. Please, pinch me. Why does it have to be on 1801 first before transferring to 1806? What's up with that? Now let's move on to ESPN2!!!

If they want to jump start demand they should add a movie people actually want to see. Envy can't get no love?!?!? Yeah, pretty bad movie choices.

Who would pay $5 to see this? If it's only as a test, they should offer a movie like Africa for Free...

It would be a nice Christmas gift if MSG got on HD. I wants my Knicks in HD.

Did you have HDNet before?

I believe the confusion might be "Is it a Month-Long Preview, or is it until the end of the next month?" Probably a communication error.

The downside is that TWC might add it into a premium tier that you have to pay extra for. I cannot see any scenario that would lead CBS to be added to the HD Pay Tier of TWC. If CBS is added, NBC, ABC and FOX will have to follow suit.

The majority of them. CBS affiliates have the highest rate of "No HD Cable Deal" out of all the network affiliates. Just the facts. I still voted for "Both WRGB and TWC." We should take both parties, lock them in a room and them force them to read this thread... Or get a bunch of angry llamas in there... Angry llamas always work. Sadly, we are a minority so minute, it's not a priority. I hope this attitude will change soon.

I was under the impression that Time Warner and CBS had a nationwide deal in place to broadcast HD for every CBS network, and WRGB is holding out providing that? Perhaps this is why the placeholder is up?

OK, I agree that WRGB is losing ground in this battle... But the slate on 1806 is rediculous. I'll be driving a Corvette just as soon as GM provides one to me. I'll be watching TWC at home as soon as service is provided to me. I'll be giving away free HDTVs to everyone single person in the Capital Region... just as soon as the manufacturers give me 800,000 HDTVs. Get it yet?... it's a loaded statement. They could also say that they will provide STARZ!-HD, MAX-HD, ENCORE-HD, TMC-HD, BRAVO-HD and PLAYBOY-HD... just as soon as the signal is provided to them. WRGB should consider legal options concerning the slate. They were singled out as a result of the SuperBowl no-deal debacle. Notice there was never a slate for WNYT-DT and there is no slate for WEWB-DT. I think they have a case for slander or something like that. You have a good point. It is kind of ridiculous that they're singled out because of the spat... But it's ridiculous that they're not on yet. If WEWB gets on before WRGB, it'll make WRGB look even worse, no matter who is to blame for it. Speaking of WEWB-DT. Aren't they broadcasting in HD OTA? What aren't they on TWC yet? They're owned by the same parent company. Negotiations should be easy...

THe just reworded their answer, hopefully because they are working on a deal? Could you link to this? I can't seem to find it on their FAQ area.

I did just email their webmaster, I referenced the FAQ I posted and said that as of the olympics Time Warner had WNYTHD and as of today they had ESPNHD, and I asked if this would help wrgb sign up with time warner. I'll let everyone know if I get a response. To update you on this, the FAQ has been updated, and the question has been removed entirely, unless I'm looking in the wrong place. Reformulating the question, or are they going to be on board soon?

From wrgb.com FAQ section: Q. If I have digital cable, do I have HDTV? A. Digital cable is not the same as HDTV. In fact, most cable companies do not yet carry broadcasters' HDTV signals. Digital cable refers only to how signals are transferred across cable. Locally, Time Warner does offer a High Definition digital tier, but it does not yet include important programming options such as WRGB, WNYT, and ESPN-HD in HDTV. So far, there is more HDTV programming available on DirecTV and Dish network than on digital cable. nice...someone should email the webmaster at wrgb and let them know. That deserves a Nelson "Ha Ha!" They better get their act together... Does the acquisition of WNYT and ESPN-HD put WRGB on the hotseat and encourage them to move?
