I can no longer get 1893 (that's the WNYDT2 or something). 1893 No Longer exists, at least its not on my 4250HDC, and I am assuming that will show everything since it an official TWC rented box. That channel now shows on channel 556, so try that. |

WNYTDT2 has always been on both 556 and 1893 on my box (since I got it in August). I never understood that, so it makes sense to get rid lof one of them.

Yeah, I've never understood by HBOHD is both in the 700s and 1800s either, that has to take up a lot of space.

I can get both 210 and 225 on my TivoHD. However, I can no longer get 215 (I think that's the one). It's DHC (Discovery Health) and I can no longer get 1893 (that's the WNYDT2 or something). Although I suppose i could also be "lucky" enough that someone in the neighborhood was/is watching 210 and 225? You are correct about 215 Discovery Health Channel being SDV. You are also correct that 210 Military Channel and 225 The Science Channel are NOT SDV. I went through most of the channels and found a whole bunch more using SDV. See the next post. |

Dammit, this really PO's me. Now I have to watch the "analog" DHC? I swear, this has GOT to be some sort of deliberate sidestep of the FCC Cable card mandate. Of course, a lot of good it'll do to complain to them. I wish Verizon would get off their fat butt and offer service, but I guess that would be too much to hope for.

Yeah, I've never understood by HBOHD is both in the 700s and 1800s either, that has to take up a lot of space. The duplicates take up no additional space, they're just mappings to the same physical channel. Whether you tune to 715 or 1880 the same signal gets tuned. |

I'm telling ya, I ditched the CableCard thing and I'm never looking back... As hard as TW may be working to get more HD, it sucks that it's at the cost of a decent technology like CableCard so I figured if I have to go back to STBs, I'm NOT doing it at $8/ea with a $10/mo DVR fee.. I'm going DirecTV. I ended up taking the extra step of hiding the boxes in a closet and all of sudden my no-STB dream came true again. As another bonus, their HDMI look GREAT unlike TWs boxes anyway. You can see my setup at www.xzi.com/my-rig and see what I was able to put together to avoid DVR fees and what not, too. If you can do it, their $20/mo. deal is on again for a few more days, I say get it done. Matter of fact, sign up with my account number (PM me for it) with www.directv.com/refer and you'll get another $10/mo off for 5 months, too. |

Well today I got home and the kids were complaining about the Disney Channel ( I had it setup for the digital 110 feed not the analog) but I lost the digital feed of Disney. So I re-inserted the CC and now I got back the Military Channel and The Science Channel but I lost Disney East, TCM and my inlaws Univision Channel!!!!
What the heck is going on over at TWC with the digital tier???

Apparently, they must be testing something with different channels because I got back the Military and Science channels but I lost the kids Disney East, TCM and Univision digital feeds.
Now I can see this happening on one CC but on all my CC tv's?
I kind a think they are creating a second digital tier for STB's with SDV. When they start playing with my SCIFI channel...that is the day I leave for STB or Satellite.
Oh by the way, today I got credited for my whole month's cable bill due to all the issues with SDV and CC's. The funny thing was, how I got the credit, I didn't request it, it was offered by the CSR...which tells me they are doing something...

5 days ago I posted that 71 channels were SDV. There are now 97 according to the diagnostic menu. That is quite a jump in less than a week.
