Ugh. I don't miss this at all. I loved my CableCard... now I love my D* dish! I'm glad I never made the investment into CableCard Tivo and Media Center after all. Sucks.

On December 20, 2007 at approximately 11PM, Albany TWC added the following HD channels:
1823 Weather Channel HD 1839 History Channel HD 1841 HGTV HD 1842 Food Network HD 1846 CNN HD 1873 Versus/Golf HD 1874 Outdoor HD 1874 (Must subscribe to Sports Tier) 1876 National Geographic HD
All channels are using SDV technology and you must have a TWC supplied digital cable box. Cable card users cannot tune these channels.

On January 11, 2008, Albany Time Warner Cable added the following HD channels:
1851 Fox Business News HD 1864 Lifetime Movie Network HD 1890 Starz HD (requires subscription) 1891 Starz West HD (requires subscription)
All of these channels are using Switched Digital Video (SDV) technology, so if you only have a cable card you are S.O.L.

I just LOVE how the FCC sits by and lets cable railroad and effectively bypass the cable card mandate by doing this. Sure, a so-called tuning resolver MAY address it, but I highly doubt it'll be out by end of June 2008. I also doubt it'll be free either (which, IMO it SHOULD be since cable is the one who decided to bypass the cable card mandate). sleepers.

I seem to be unable to tune 725 (MAXP), 727 (ACMAXP) and 728 (THMAXP) on my TiVo S3 via CableCard...can any verify what I'm seeing? Perhaps 3 more to add to the list.

776 and 777 appear to be working here with my TiVo + CableCards... Nope...not for me. I receive 771-775, but not 776 and 777 on my HD TiVo. Also, when I go into the diagnostic menu for my 8300HD DVR, it lists 776 and 777 as "switched", indicating SDV. Channels 771-775 are listed as "broadcast".

Just tried again here and they continue to work on my S3...Hm....

Did 788 (ENCOREP) drop to SDV as well? I don't subscribe to the Encore channels, so I don't know.

Well, looks like I may end up having to get a STB and stop using my TivoHD. I don't know if I can wait 6 more months for the supposed resolver while TW keeps moving 2-3 channels every few weeks to SDV.

I can get both 210 and 225 on my TivoHD. However, I can no longer get 215 (I think that's the one). It's DHC (Discovery Health) and I can no longer get 1893 (that's the WNYDT2 or something).
Although I suppose i could also be "lucky" enough that someone in the neighborhood was/is watching 210 and 225?
