I purchased an HD7080p Winegard antenna. I asked this question before and got no response. Does anyone know anybody who professionally installs antennas?

I currently use an indoor Radio Shack antenna to receive HD broadcasts. I generally get a decent picture for ABC,NBC, CBS and WMHT(no WB). However, when it gets cloudy the reception will tend to break up. This happened yesterday as I attempted to watch the Jets vs the Rams. Does this happen to any of you who use an outdoor antenna or is the picture always good. Also does anyone know anybody who installs outdoor antennas?I currently have a dish up where the antenna would go and cable wire running from that location to the TV. Also would I need electricity for a preamp?

I just called TW today. I too have the 8000HD I have not noticed too many problems with live HD watching. However, recorded HD programing has played back with similar problems that you describe.I just finished watching Black Rain(HBO) which I believe was recorded last weekend and I felt like I was watching a program taped on a poor quality VCR tape. They were willing to come out tomorrow, however, the earliest I can see them is Friday morning.

Does anyone know why WNYT was broadcasting only in SD on Friday night? Did the station simply forget to hit a switch? If so, is there a number we can call to get them off their a**?

From what I've read here, WEWB is only transmitting at partial strength. Does anyone have any info as to if/when the station will increase its signal?

Thus far I must say that the expectations I had for High Def coverage of the Olympics has been a major disapointment. I wanted to watch men's gymnastics last night and all NBC showed in high def was the opening ceremonies for the fourth time! How do you know if the event you want to see will ever be shown in hi def? I know there is a schedule, but the schedule for hi def last night showed the same schedule as analog.

I just purchased a Zenith HDV420 at Circuit City. It was an "open box" purchase which I got at a great price. With it I purchased a Terk HD indoor antenna. I've gotten it set up, but all I get when I attempt to change stations are 13-1 and 13-2. I live in Niskayuna off of rt 7. Have I got the receiver set up wrong or do I need a stronger new outdoor antenna? Any suggestions on what to get? Thanks.

I currently have TWC . Quite honestly, the only good thing in HD that they have is their HD DVR. However ,I'm getting tired of waiting for a decent selection of HD channels from which to choose. From what I've read it doesn't seen like Wrgb or Wnyt will be seen on TWC in the forseeable future. The only reason TNT was added is because Time Warner owns the station. TNT's addition has been a major disapointment in my opinion. I'd rather watch a 4:3 picture than the stretched out fare they give us. I've considered purchasing a high def receiver and antenna. However for the $400 or so outlay to receive a few local stations seems exhorbitant. Can anyone tell me the plusses and minuses of Directv and Voom? Can you receive local HD feeds through their HD receivers?Do WTEN and and WXXA currently send out an OTA HD signal? Any information to direct me would be greatly appreciated.
