Still no guide data for the new Viacom channels. I really wanted to change my DVR recordings to be in HD. Oh well Since Jersey Shore isn't in HD anyway (which makes NO sense - it's letterboxed and 4:3 on the HD channel, making it sit inside a giant black frame), I guess it isn't that big of a deal. But I want to schedule the DVR for The Ultimate Fighter starting next Wednesday on Spike.

Looks like Guide data showed up about an hour ago. Time to program the DVR

Yeah the 16:9 480i jersery shore is BS, but its not MTV's fault entirely, its actually mainly the production company (418 productions) thats makes it, there a really cheap company and still use allot of sd cameras and only own like 2 hd cones and are too lazy to upconvert the other cameras. Allot of shows that are newer and produced by mtv are in hd though like the real world, made. Though I strongly believe comedy central and nickelodeon do a way better job at HD then mtv, as mtv seems to not care half the time if a show is actually film'd in hd and half the time it will air in hd.

The new HD channels are on now - with the unfortunately familiar "no data available" in the guide.
History Intl - 1745 CMT - 1754 Hallmark - 1766 VH-1 - 1755 Cooking Chan - 1764 TWC Sports - 1803

After the first batch of Viacom HD's, I forgot they were adding more! Are all of these channels standard or are any part of the HD tier (which is basically useless at this point)?

Don't know what else is in the HD tier - but RFD-tv is. My parents love this for all the classic country music stuff on there. They watch hee-haw every weekend now. hahahahaha.....

After contacting TWCableHelp last week, I received a call from Mike at Albany TWC this afternoon. He said he would reprogram both my cable cards and asked me to reboot both of my Tuning Adapters. Since I am at work, I won't be able to reboot the Tuning Adapters until I get home.

When I returned home yesterday, I immediately rebooted both of my Tuning Adapters. This didn't correct the issue.
I called Mike at TWC (he provided me with his extension number and said he would be working until 7:30PM) and left a voicemail. He called me back within the hour and had me change to a few of the new HD channels...none of which tuned. He noted the messages I told him were on the screen and said he would investigate further and call me back. I asked if I would receive a call back today, and he said he would call me back before the end of his shift even if he hadn't resolved anything.
I didn't receive a call back.

I called the TWC National Cable Card Support (NCCS) desk at 1-866-532-2598 and spoke to a knowledgable guy named Rob.
He had me try a few things like look in the Tuning Adapter diagnostic menu, tune to the missing channels, reboot the tuning adapter, reboot the TiVo, etc.
He seems to think the new channels are not mapped correctly to the tuning adapters. He said he needs to contact the "DNCS" or "head-end" here at Albany TWC to figure out how they have it mapped.
Rob said he would call me back after speaking to them. We'll see.

A technical support person from TWC (Shane) called me at 6PM. He said the engineers had remapped the new channels for the tuning adapter.
I rebooted the tuning adapter and TiVo while he waited on the phone. I now have guide data for all the channels, but only audio & video on the new HBO & Cinemax channels. I also have audio & video for VH1 HD on 1755. He said that is probably because it was the original test channel.
So, I have guide data, but no audio/video on the following channels:
1540 ESPN Goal Line HD 1733 Nickelodeon HD 1740 National Geo Wild HD 1745 History Chan Intl 1753 Comedy Central HD 1754 CMT 1756 MTV HD 1763 Spike TV HD 1764 Cooking Chan 1766 Hallmark 1803 TWC Sports
I do have audio/video & guide data on the following channels:
1755 VH-1 1778 HBO Family East HD 1779 HBO Comedy East HD 1781 HBO Zone East HD 1782 ActionMax HD 1783 ThrillerMax HD 1784 MoreMax HD 1785 OuterMax HD 1786 5StarMax HD 1787 @max HD 1788 WMax HD 1882 HBO Signature HD 1886 TMC Xtra HD
Shane said anyone in the same situation as me (with TiVo & Tuning adapter) could reboot their TiVo & TA to get these new HBO & Cinemax channels mapped. He said he would go back to the engineering Dept & tell them which channels worked & didn't.

Shane called back at 6:35PM after speaking to the Engineering Dept.
For whatever reason, they only remapped the channels that were added on Sept 2nd, but not the channels added on Sept 8th or 13th.
He told me the Engineering Dept would remap the missing channels from Sept 8 & 13 tonight and push it out to all Tuning Adapters early tomorrow morning between 2-3AM.
