Local NFL in HD for Week 1:
Thursday 9/9 WTEN-DT Indianapolis Colts at New England Patriots 9:05pm (OTA & TWC)
Sunday 9/12 WXXA-DT Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Washington Redskins 1:00pm (TWC Only) WXXA-DT New York Giants at Philadelphia Eagles 4:15pm (TWC Only) ESPN-HD Kansas City Chiefs at Denver Broncos 8:35pm (Satellite Only)
Monday 9/13 WTEN-DT Green Bay Packers at Carolina Panthers 9:06pm (OTA & TWC)
Notes: The Jets game on WRGB-DT (9/12 1pm) is not being produced in HD by CBS. There's a better than good chance of an HD game on WRGB-DT for Week 2, since it's a CBS Doubleheader Sunday and CBS is producing 3 HD games each Sunday.
Listing does not include the DirecTV NFL Sunday Ticket lineup.

Skaggs, I'm concerned that your post might mislead viewers. You list the games that the networks are producing in HD. A caution to viewers: This is NOT a list of the games that will be aired locally on WRGB and WXXA.
This is, however, a good listing for DirecTV Sunday Ticket subscribers.
BTW, The Week 1 Tennessee at Miami game is being moved up to Saturday in an attempt to get the game played before Hurricane Ivan makes Landfall. It is a CBS HD production, but will only air in Miami and Tennesse. DirecTV says ST subscribers can watch a tape delay of the game on Sunday.

At noon today, the FOX NFL pre-game show started, and even the shots from the studio are in HD.
However, the CBS pre-game show is not in HD.

Over at the AVS Forum FOX ENG wrote that the pregame show is not HD, just SD widescreen. The FOX pregame studio is not HD ready yet. 1:00pm will be the first official HD from FOX.

Thanks for correcting me. The pre-game is 480i widescreen. Looks good, though. I'm glad not to have the vertical bars on the sides of my TV, like there is with CBS' pre-game show.
