I don't think he said that anyone had crossed the line; yet. Please continue to post your pointed comments. I find them interesting. It's a small town and we don't want anyone to get too personal, do we?
Richard.

whew this place just got 100% lamer . Message boards consist of differing opinions ..sometimes that makes people disagree . I don't think that anyone crossed any lines here . Nobody has hurt anyone espescially since people are posting with nicknames . good luck to the guy running this place , I think his numbers are going to dwindle now .

While I'm sure MasterFX is a fine person and I have no clue regarding his motivations, nor is it my business, I find his logic on these issues to be somewhat faulty....if the local station's primary motivation is compensation for thier signal why then offer it free OTA? Obivously, nobobdy's gonna pay them for that, so its not a very effective way to recoup an investment at all and certainly not a coherent way to develop advertising revenues via the HD signals. No...all these stations are doing at this point is attempting to be financial opportunists...nothing wrong with that either... from my view its a free market...Whats the bottom line??? When the saturation rate of HDTV's gets to the point where there's advertising money available/at risk then the stations will naturally look to broaden their audiences via cable...till then...they will play a waiting game...hoping to grab some quick money...and improve the short term bottom line (unfortunately in our capitalist society mgmt gets compensated based on short term results rather than long term objectives)...In my view, the best way to ensure that the locals put thier signals on TWC (and TWC, not without its own share of guilt here, concomitantly decides to pick up ESPN-HD, TNT-HD, etc...etc...) is to get your family and friends to invest in an HD set NOW...the sooner folks more folks do... the sooner everyone gets what they want HD-wise... I fervently hope that folks don't end up getting censored on this board...I appreciate the exchange of information.
