I have a 32" SD TV in my work-out room that is NOT hooked up to a cable box. It just has the coax hooked into the back of the TV. I recently performed an "auto channel search" and it found some sort of test graph on channel 98. I cannot tune to channel 98 via my 8300HD DVR on my HDTV. The graph looks like one of those computer programs that shows audio waves as words are spoken.
It says "MARKER 25.04 MHz" in the center and has a value that constantly varies below it.
Along the right side of the screen, it says: "RR REV" "RR FWD" "TEST" "RR OSCAR" "PCX TEST"
There is a lot of overscan and I can't read the other text along the top, bottom, and left sides of the graph.
Anyone have any ideas what this is? Is it some sort of signal strength meter?
