I'm just wondering if anyone has seen this issue before. My wife was watching TLC HD last night (Say Yes to the Dress if it matters) and I was watching to see how the quality was since I recently went to the Ceton w/ cablecard for all our cable. What I noticed was this: the video appears to skip frames, or stutter, most noticeably on higher motion scenes. I tried several channels in the vicinity of TLC HD but did not see anything similar.
Has anyone else observed this on TLC HD? I'm trying to figure out if there's some issue with my setup or if it's in the stream itself. It reminded me of what some channels used to do years ago and remove a frame every so often to eke out an extra 30 seconds or so from an entire syndicated episode. However, in this case I can't think of why it would purposely being done.
