I don't follow the political scene, but the whole Joe Bruno scandal has me disgusted with the high-level waste of taxpayer dollars. It just seems to me like all the state politicians are two faced, acting like they are better than the rest of us while making closed door deals that financially benefit themselves and their families.
The recent claim that Susan Bruno (Joe Bruno's daughter) had an $80k+/year no-show job at the SUNY Research Foundation makes me sick to my stomach. The Governor is asking for 9,800 state employee rank & file layoffs, yet there are thousands ands thousands of these political patronage jobs for high salaries given to people without the qualifications to do the jobs.
As I was reading the article in today's Times Union about Vice Chancellor O'Connor "separating" from his $276,000 job at the SUNY Research Foundation as a result of the Susan Bruno scandal, I noticed a quote from "Foundation spokesman Peter Taubkin."
Apparently, the spokesman job at the quasi State agency SUNY Research Foundation pays more than the VP position at Time Warner.

How old a guy is he? I wonder if he is getting a TW pension, and then just got another job as bonus cash to build up the nest egg. I know a few people that have done this, they do very well for themselves.
