Do we have any news about a local Fios TV store? The VZ database shows the closest one in Wappangers Falls. Where can we take stuff to exchange/upgrade? (Not that we need to at present!)

No news so far that I can find, but given the previous history of some locations it may be awhile before we see a store. Yonkers NY got FiOS TV in July 2007 and a local store did not open until March 2009. I assume Verizon is going to want to see how the local penetration goes as they build-out the network in the areas with franchises.

For exchanges and upgrades, you have to do it over the phone. They will ship out a replacement unit and you send back the old one with the box that new one came in. Not as a nice as having a local store, that is a drawback with FiOS. If you lived in a market that has had FiOS TV for a while and wanted to upgrade one of the older DVRs to the ones that we have, they would charge you $40 to cover the shipping and handling costs.
