I went to that event and signed up for their Prime HD bundle: a subset of cable channels, 1 HD STB, 15/5 Internet and (I was told) Digital Voice. When I got home I logged into my Order Status page and found I was signed up for Freedom Essentials instead of Digital Voice. Went back to the show and was told by the on-site supervisor that I couldn't get DV if I already had Internet and any other phone package (I have their 20/5 Internet and lowest-cost POTS-equivalent-over-FiOS phone service). I was told they couldn't change it there, but to wait until after the installation, then call 888-553-1555 to try to change it. I'll see how well that works. They said I could cancel within 30 days. Maybe I'll have to drop their phone service entirely for awhile in order to qualify for DV. Or just dump all but Internet and go with a competing VOIP service.
AIUI, the major differences between DV and FE are that DV has more options and lower fees (no FCC Line Charge) but requires an area code for all calls.
