Since we probably 1 to 2 weeks from seeing FiOS TV becoming available, I decided to add my name last night to their notification list at Let Me Know When FiOS Internet & FiOS TV Are Available.
You fill out your name and contact information. And there are two check boxes:
Since I already have FiOS Internet, I cleared that check box and checked the other and submitted the form. This morning I get the following email message from Verizon:
Come on Verizon, you couldn't process the check box selection (I double checked my selection before clicking the submit button)? Since they validated my address for FiOS Internet availability, they should have recognized that I am already a subscriber. Sometimes you just have to laugh.
This is the same company that puts a notice on the bill to call and lock in the rates for 24 months. I tried calling it once and was told that 24 month lock in did not apply to me because I have a plan that is no longer offered. Since the cheapest new plan is more expensive and slower than my plan, I'm not changing it until I get a FiOS TV bundle.
