Time Warner Whole Home DVR

Well, Time Warner started offering the Whole Home DVR as of this morning in our division. Check you division website for more info. It looks like a massive (scam) disappointment. Apparently you can only get the Whole Home DVR by signing up for Signature Home service and paying over $200 a month for this premium package.

All the more reason to dump my boxes and go with a Windows Media Center solution. It may be limited to the computer you record on, but it's not unreasonably expensive after the initial hardware cost. Plus, a cheap XBox can serve as an extender for any other room.
