Well unfortunately it's come to pass that Verizon has caved in (I honestly don't know any reason why they would other than to deliberately sabotage Tivo's or to cave into the cable labs or something).

Rifleman has gotten email from Verizon stating they will be rolling out CCI bytes (just like TW, setting ALL channels to 0x02 except for locals) starting with the regions that Verizon sold to Frontier.
