Washington, D.C. (October 21, 2009) -- The EWTN Global Catholic Network announced yesterday that it will launch a HD simulcast channel on December 8.
The channel, which is available in more than 150 million homes worldwide, has been in operation for 28 years.
"We chose to launch HD in December so we could bring our viewers all the beautiful images of the Christmas season using the most advanced technology," EWTN CEO Michael P. Warsaw said in a press release. "We are the proud to say that we are the only Catholic television network available in this format."
