Pete Dougherty's blog over at the TU is reporting the following: NHL offers extended `Center Ice’ free previewOctober 1, 2009 at 10:21 pm by Pete Dougherty, Staff writer “Center Ice,” the National Hockey League package that offers virtually every game, is offering an unprecedented 24-day free preview via In Demand (i.e., Time Warner digital) and DirectTV customers. The preview began tonight with a CBC doubleheader — Montreal at Toronto at 7, and Vancouver at Calgary at 10 — and runs through Oct. 24. The package for the entire season is $163.80. This should come as good news to hockey fans with DirecTV, which still doesn’t have an agreement to carry Versus, the U.S. rightsholder. The Versus games aren’t available on “Center Ice,” but just about every other game is.
I couldn't find any mention of it on Albany TWC's website.

TWC Albany sent out an e-mail this afternoon about the Center Ice preview. 10/1-10/24 on 1929 (HD) and 1930-1943.
On another note, the e-mail also mentioned a free preview of CBS College Sports next week (10/5-10/11). With CBSCS-HD reportedly being added on Tuesday, hopefully that'll also be included in the preview once it's added (assuming they add it next week).
