I was wondering will the dtv thing that is going to happen this friday will effect people who have timewarner cable by freeing more bandwidth for more programs and hdtv channels and cable internet speeds?

their page says the following... www.timewarnercable.com/Albany/learn/cable/dtvtrans/default.htmli read that to state that no changes will be made to alter the way we get tv from them in any way. With that said, they won't be shutting down their analog feeds that we receive the local ota channels on via cable. dtv is supposed to free up ota bandwidth. cable cos can do whatever they want with their signals since they don't affect ota by broadcasting through cable which is a closed loop system. I am glad that my old tv in the kitchen and basement will still receive analog chs via twc. Some day when I have all dig tuner equipped tvs then they can wipe the analog chs away.
