Discovery six-part HD nature series airs May 29-31 The BBC and Discovery Channel (HD channel 1836) have teamed on a new six-part high-definition series, "Nature’s Most Amazing Events." dsc.discovery.com/tv/natures-most-amazing-events/The series, which premieres Friday, May 29, at 8 p.m. and airs through May 31, was filmed over the course of two years. It chronicles breathtaking natural events that take place across our planet that are triggered by seasonal and climate changes such as the flooding of the Okavango Delta in Africa to the great summer melt of ice in the Arctic. "Nature's Most Amazing Events" also uses technical innovations as did its predecessor series, "Planet Earth", including time-lapse and macro photography and high-definition stabilized camera mounts often used for the first time in a natural history film.
