Verizon Launches HD Channels from Byron Allen

Verizon is launching six new high-definition channels on its FiOS television service from Byron Allen’s Entertainment Studios this week.
The channels are Comedy.TV, Recipe.TV, ES.TV (entertainment news), MyDestination.TV, Cars.TV and Pets.TV.
“The addition of these channels helps us to continue our commitment to offer FiOS TV customers the best in HD programming,” Terry Denson, VP for FiOS TV content and programming, said in a statement.
FiOS is now available in 14 states.
“Our goal and commitment is to make our networks the very best in their categories, and our launch on the Verizon FiOS TV platform gives us a great start, Byron Allen, founder, chairman and CEO of Entertainment Studios, said in a statement. “All content will be originally produced in HD to insure the highest level of quality, and will be distributed globally on all platforms.”
