When I attempted to watch the 4/6 showing of Heroes recorded on my Tivo S3, there was no dialogue for about the last third of the show.
The only audio present was the music. When the portion of the show after about 40 minutes was played, there was no dialogue at all. The only dialogue after that point was during commercials.
I noticed that during the last 20 minutes my A/V amplifier showed that the only audio being received was over the front left and right speakers.
During the earlier portion the amp showed audio on all 5 Dolby channels.
Did anyone else notice a similar problem or should I attempt to see whether I can find something wrong with my A/V receiver?

It was a problem with the feed. Also affected a fair portion of Medium which followed it. Not sure if it was a network or local problem. Analog was OK, and since I was watching live I eventually switched to that audio while keeping the HD video. Several seconds out of sync, of course, but at least I could understand it. Couldn't bring myself to watch analog video.
I've heard this problem (loss of center-channel audio) several times before on different stations. I've read an explanation but I'm fuzzy on the details. 5.1 audio has a discrete center channel where most of the dialog is. If network or station audio equipment is set to process 2-channel (left/right) audio but it's really getting 5.1 it'll lose the center channel.
After dialog was restored during Medium it got badly out of sync. Then the picture switched momentarily to SD and back to HD and the audio was in sync (or at least better).
Although analog helped me out this time, I look forward to its demise so that Master Control operators everywhere will be more likely to pay attention to the HD feed.

At least it is nice to know that it is not a problem with my Tivo.

I checked AVSForum's local threads for several east coast cities and nobody's talking about it, so my guess is that it was WNYT's boo-boo.

Wonder if they'll send me the $4.00 to download the episodes from Amazon then.

Wonder if they'll send me the $4.00 to download the episodes from Amazon then. Probably not since you can watch it for free on NBC.com/Hulu.
