Sony is expected to announce at CES, which starts later this week, that they will begin offering HD episodes of Seinfeld in syndication on January 26. Since WCWN airs other syndicated shows in HD, I assume they will with Seinfeld as well. www.broadcastingcable.com/article/CA6625774.htmlTBS already airs the HD version of the show.

I wouldn't exactly call it HD since its just SD-upconverting. Seinfeld was off the air long before HD came around.

They went back to the source film, and remastered it in real HD. Exactly. Shows shot on film, like Seinfeld, can be remastered into HD. Shows that were originally shot on video cannot. Check out the HD episodes on TBS. Definitely not just upconverted.
