Anyone in the area have this package (bronze, silver or gold)? What is your total monthly charge? Trying to understand fully loaded cost vs my cable bill.
Do you get the local 6,10,13,23 in HD as well?
Thanks

I just went to the Dish Network site and found this information. www.dishnetwork.com/turbohd/programming/default.aspxIt says HD locals are available in select cities. On another part of their site it says the only locals in HD they offer are WTEN-ABC and WNYT-NBC. Otherwise it looks like SD for the rest of the locals. It also looks like the local channels only come in the silver package and up. Just give the site a poke around and see what you find, or you could always call them.

You will only get 10 and 13 in HD on DISH, and you will pay extra for it, too. You also won't get the YES Network, in HD or SD, and when new HD channels come along, you'll wait 6-12 months longer than anyone else to get them and that's only IF they decide you are worthy of receiving them.
Don't do it--you get what you pay for.

Thanks... I'm doing short channel comparison to help make a decision and this is good info...
For what its worth, based on the lineups alone - I agree with you and I don't think the cost will be much different at the end of the day. will post a general discussion thread with my results.
