I have TWC and suddenly I notice that all the Premium HD channels are active (even though I don't subscribe to them). I mean HBO, STARZ, Cinemax, Showtime, TMCHD. Also, HDNET and HDNET movies are active.
Now I just swapped my 8300HD box for an 8300HDC because the hard drive was crapping out. Could that have anything to do with it or is TWC having a week long free preview?

TWC employees get cable boxes set in "test" mode that enable all the channels. Sounds like you may have gotten one of these boxes.
Unfortunately, I believe once the box starts communicating with the head end at TWC, the "test" mode may disappear.

Back in the day you used to get all channels free as a new subscriber for like a month or two. If you avoided their phone calls that would ask "do you want to keep those free channels?" sometimes they would forget.
We got cable like this for 2 years, all movie channels, paying for none. Then we moved.
I don't think they even do the free premiums for a month deal anymore, either.
