The Weather Channel has added a page to its Web site touting the "Studio of the Future." According to the page, they will start broadcasting from the HD studio on June 2nd (27 days, 2+ hours according to the site's countdown clock). Link

That's strange how they built that separate from their main building. It also looks really small. Looking forward to The Weather Channel broadcasting live in HD though!

Here are some shots of the HD studio, from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's site. No more chromakeys/green screens. They've been replaced by the 37-foot screen seen in the bottom picture.

I can't wait to see one of them fall off that platform shown on the bottom picture. Now that will be some good live TV.

Well I like the new graphics and the new studio but I was disappointed to see that Local on the 8's are still not local on the HD channel.
