With a lot of Mets Saturday games being shown on the CW, is there any chance CW15 will have these games in HD this year? I know even last year, they were shown in HD in the NYC area on CW11, but were simulcast in SD to CW15. With SNY showing every other game in HD, it would be nice to see the full season go that way.

There's no mention of HD on WCWN's Mets schedule page of their site. So my guess is, unfortunately, theyll be SD only. I imagine if they were airing the games in HD, there would be some indication as such on that page.

The same thing goes for Yankees games. All Yankee games are produced in HD. The games on MY9 in NYC are in HD, however these same games that will be shown on MyTV4 locally in the Albany area will NOT be in HD, unless MyTV4 strikes a deal with TWC. MyTV4 is not ready to transmit HD via OTA yet. FYI... link to Mets schedule provided by TWC

skaggs, have you emailed mytv4 about if they are working on such a HD deal? I really hope they are working on something for us yankee fans. 21 games is a major # to lose to SD.
Anyone else out there upset about this?

WCWN will very likely have the Mets games in HD. They are working on a way to make it happen, but it's untested, so no guarantees. Keep your fingers crossed, it may very well happen.

You can check the first Mets game on WCWN on Sunday, April 13th at 1:10PM. Thanks, MasterFX1, for the info. Now, both Mets and Yankees fans will get to see all their favorite team's games in HD. I, for one, am looking forward to watching the local Yankees games in HD. Last year, when the Yankee games were on WXXA, the SD picture was so terrible I would listen to the radio broadcast instead of watching the SD picture.

Agreed 100%! SD sports should be outlawed and discountinued in favor of opening more space for more HD. I never really got into watching day to day sports on TV, until last year, with the exception of the big games. Since HD has arrived I just can't miss watching the Yanks and Bruins games (I know, how can I like anything that comes from Boston being a die hard Yanks fan? Well Sam Adams, and the Bruins are my exceptions...).
Glad to see the Mets getting the HD attention. Only fair to their fans both current and future..

Is it HD OTA or only on TWC? If it's OTA I'm going to have to figure out a way to get CW 45 OTA. It almost never comes in here at my location in the Berkshires.

The next Met game scheduled for CW15 is this Friday, April 18th, 7:05PM at Philadelphia.
I'll set my OTA DVR to record it in case I forget to flip over from the 1st Yankee game of the year on WNYA (same time). Still no announcement from TWC concerning them adding WNYA to their HD lineup.
