An official announcement should be coming shortly, but it is reported that all of the 2004 MLB playoffs will be in HD on FOX. That's bad news for OTA only HD viewers in Albany, as WXXA still is not broadcasting in HD via OTA. FOX is available in HD via Time Warner Cable on channel 1808. The FOX website states it will be televising the Division series starting Tuesday, October 5th, 2004.

ESPN will televise some Division Series games.
It has been reported that both ESPN and FOX will have their HD production trucks in NY for the AL Division Series.
However, it has not been announced if the games will actually be transmitted in HD.

We know for sure the League Championship Series is in HD on FOX from the AVS Forum but I do hope the Division Series is too. Tuesday Oct. 5th at 8pm is the first Division game on FOX, don't know if it is AL or NL though. I ahve heard nothing on ESPN.

I am a D* subscriber but had an opportunity to watch last nights game in HD on TWC. What was going on with the signal? It was terrible that just about every time they did a camera change and even during same cam shots they picture would just jump out for a second or two and then come back on. I was just curious if this has been happening throughout all of the games or just this one in particular.. I know that not all the cameras are HD but like I said, it would happen frequently during HD same camera shots..

I noticed the same thing with last night's HD feed of game 6.
There have been the occassional blip with the picture in the previous 5 games, but not like last night. It was terrible.
Also, the SD shots of the crowd and/or players in the dugout are so fuzzy on my 57" TV that it reminds me of my childhood years when you had to go adjust the rabbit ears to get a better picture. Thankfully, it is only one or two cameras that are SD, and not the ones that are used to capture the live baseball action.

I just hope that can resolve this as not to distract from probably one of the biggest games of our time. I wouldn't mind though if the audio cut out every time Mccarver started to speak..... ;D

May I ask what boxes you guys had while watching the game? I've been having the problem the past 4 nights, and it's on all DIGITAL channels, not just the HD ones. It gets so bad, I have to switch to the SD broadcasts...

OM, Sorry I have been watching the games at my buddy's house and I don't know what model he has. You are definately not the only one though, another guy I work with had the same problems.. It didn't happen at all last night though! Hope it didn't for you.. I really think the problem lied with Fox and not TWC or the STB but just my opinion. I guess if you were having it on all digitals something was up...
