DIRECTV today added MHD, the High-Definition music channel from MTV Networks.
MHD, which will be on DIRECTV's channel 332, offers a mix of music videos and concert footage in high-def.
The addition now gives DIIRECTV 41 national High-Definition channels, including the four major broadcast networks, which are available in most markets.
DIRECTV last week added 21 new High-Definition channels in the initial rollout of its high-def expansion.
And yesterday it added six more national basic cable channels and five regional sports channels which are available in the national lineup. (Professional sports, however, are blacked out on those channels outside of the viewer's area.)
The channels added yesterday are:
USA Network HD (channel 242) Sci-Fi Channel HD (channel 244) Bravo HD (channel 273) HBO West HD (channel 504) Cinemax HD (channel 512) Cinemax West HD (channel 514)
YES HD NESN HD Sports New York HD Comcast Sports Net HD (Mid-Atlantic and Chicago)
The satcaster says it will offer 70 HD channels this month and up to 100 high-def channels by the end of the year.
