Hi Guys, 1st post and d**n glad to be here! When I scan the upper stations on my 3250 there are times that the HD HBO station does not even come in. Is this common or is there something that I'm doing wrong? Thanks, Tony G

Welcome to the AlbanyHDTV forum.
First thing to check is that you actually pay for HBO. If you don't the "NOT AUTHORIZED" window appears on the screen. If you do pay for HBO, what shows on the screen when you tune to channel 1870?
If only the HBO HD station does not display, it is most likely the box or a weak signal. Do you have the cable source split from when it comes into the house? A bad splitter/amplifier or too many splits will weaken the signal. The HD channels use up more bandwidth and need a good source signal.
If you want to try and troubleshoot the problem yourself, try running the coaxial cable directly from where it enters the house to your cable box without any splits in between. If this fixes the problem, you know where the problem lies.
Of course, you could just call TWC customer service and schedule a home visit by a tech. It's all included in your monthly charge.

It just so happens it was a bad cable line!
Thanks, Tony G
