DIRECTV Adds ESPN 2 HD
The satcaster now carries eight high-def networks.

Washington D.C. -- DIRECTV today added ESPN 2 HD to its lineup of High-Definition TV channels.
Located at channel 72, ESPN HD 2 offers a mix of sports news programs, documentaries and live broadcasts of professional and college games.
Although ESPN 2 HD is a high-def channel, many shows and games are not broadcast in high-def. ESPN 2's first game to be broadcast in high-def on DIRECTV will be tonight's college football matchup between Oklahoma State and Florida Atlantic (7 p.m. ET.).The network's college football broadcast of Pittsburgh vs. Ohio will air in high-def on Friday night at 8 p.m. ET.
DIRECTV now carries eight high-def networks, including ESPN, ESPN 2, HDNet and Discovery HD Theater, in addition to high-def network feeds in selected cities.
