TWC replies to question about FREE HBO preview

I received an email stating that there would be free HBO & Showtime previews soon. Will these free previews be available to those customers who use a cable card or use their own QAM receiver? If the answer is no, please state why you will not let these loyal customers have the free previews.

This is the exact text from the email: "Time Warner Cable is offering all customers in the Albany Division a free preview of HBO® and HBO® On Demand from Friday, March 17, through Tuesday, March 21." Notice the "...all customers in the Albany Division..." Do you consider cable card customers to be included in the "all Customers" statement? I should hope so. Please explain. Thank you.

Mark Pyskadlo,

You are able to receive free previews of premium channels if you have a piece of equiptment that receives the Digital Tier. To check if you are receiving the digital tier see if you are receiving channel 430. That is the Hallmark channel which is part of our digital tier. That have not given us any information on Qam receivers. Customers who have cable cards should be able to get the free preview of HBO if they subscribe to the digital tier.
