An email sent today from TWC stated: Replace those old remotes Simplify your electronic life with new, state-of-the-art remote controls from Universal Remote Control. Instead of using a half dozen different remotes for your entertainment systems, upgrade to a new line of remotes.
As a Time Warner Cable customer, you're entitled to a significant discount, in most cases up to 30% off retail.
The Automator (URC-200, pictured at right) universal and learning remote control, for example, can replace up to 10 remote controls and operate an entire A/V home entertainment system. The LCD screen device and function labels can be customized.
Learn more about The Automator and other remotes on our dedicated web site for Time Warner Cable of Albany customers. You can order online or call 1-800-901-0800.

If you're a Tivo owner (or know where to find the rebate) you can get a 25% off the price for any Harmony remote control.
WAY easier to program. You can get them online for like $90 or less (and then take 25% off of that)

I use Universal's MX-500 in my system, they are great remote's. As dkennedy said, you can find very nice deals on these on Ebay.

I have the 300 model. The best investment I ever made. It is a little bit of a hassle for DVR functionality, however the remote itself is the best one I have ever owned. Batterly life is excellent as well
