WXXA is ready for NFL in HD

Dear Mr. Whitson:

Will WXXA be able to pass through FOX’s HD NFL broadcasts to the people viewing WXXA on Albany Time Warner Cable? …or will it just be SD widescreen?

WXXA is listed as the 6th largest DMA without their splicer installed at the following website:

I realize that your digital OTA broadcasts are not scheduled until January 2004, but the NFL in HD through Time Warner Cable is at least a way for most viewers to see the games.

Subject: Fox HD on Time Warner Cable

The fox HD Splicer has been installed and certified for use by Fox as of 9/3/04. I will put it into service NLT 9/10 . It still needs to be interfaced to our automation system.
The WXXA-TV service is up-converted to 720P and spliced into the Fox 720P service which will be seen on Time Warner on channel 1808 in their HD service.
