Yeah I just noticed that... I was away getting married this weekend and when I came home my Guide wouldn't show ANY west coast channels. Had to reboot my cable box. I'm guessing they went live with SDV on a ton of channels over the weekend.
Anyway, when I turn to 1875, it tells me I'm not authorized and I have to call to order it. This happening to anyone else? Do I need to pay for the sports package to get this channel?

Works for me, although I subscribe to the HD Tier. It's nice to finally have another new HD channel but with all of the options out there (FoodTVHD, CNNHD, History HD, Versus HD, etc) the NHL Network is probably the one I wanted least.

I'm not seeing many new SDV channels, the only new SDV channels I'm seeing are Channel 551 (Fox Business), 1875 (NHLHD) and 1911-19 (NBA Channels).

I get the "not-authorized" screen when I tune to 1875 on my 8300HD DVR. I have the HD Tier, but not the Sports Tier. Still no word on Albany TWC's website about NHL HD.
Going into the diagnostic menu reveals that channel 551 (Fox Business) is SDV.

Can anyone who has the sports tier with a cable card confirm that they can/can't view NHL HD on channel 1875?

I have yet to see a single frame of content on the HD channel that is actually in HD. What a waste.

Gotta love Time Warner. Everyone is getting NHL HD except former Adelphia customers. I sent an email to TW, we'll see what their excuse is this time.

Directv now has 75 HD channels on their way to 100ish, Time Warner is losing tens of thousands of subscribers a month, they are obviously feeling the pinch and trying to get more HD channels. The sad thing is the last two "HD" channels they have given us are TBS and NHL. TBS has no HD content on it whatsoever other than the baseball games that are over and I haven't seen NHL in HD even during games. Pretty poor attempts but on par with the norm at TWC.

Here's the official announcement from Albany TWC:
NHL Network and NHL Network HD on digital cable
Time Warner Cable is in the process of launching NHL Network and NHL Network HD. They will be available before the end of the year on channels 675 (digital cable) and 1875 (HD). Both of these channels are part of the Sports Tier. If you have the Sports Tier and an HDTV converter, you can watch the HD version on channel 1875.
Home to everything hockey, NHL Network features live NHL games, daily highlights show "NHL on the Fly," live games from the NCAA and ECHL, international hockey, and vintage and amateur hockey games, along with hockey news/updates, extended game highlights, player profiles and interviews. Themed programming and original network productions round out NHL Network's 24-hour hockey schedule.
Live games in November: 11/7 Nashville at Detroit, 7:30 p.m. 11/14 Edmonton at Vancouver, 10 p.m. 11/16 Montreal at Buffalo, 7:30 p.m. 11/18 Detroit at Columbus, 5 p.m. 11/21 New Jersey at Pittsburgh, 7:30 p.m. 11/30 Dallas at Pittsburgh, 7:30 p.m.
