I have been noticing that HDnet & HDnet Movies are having problems with the picture freezing and sound stopping about every 10-20min. Has anyone noticed. I'm watching U2 Vertigo Tour and have had the picture freeze 4 times. Is this a local TWC problem?

Noticed the same problem while watching a recorded program from Friday night. So, I didn't know if that's the way it was with HDnet's original broadcast or it was my 8300HD DVR.

I might send an e-mail or give TWC a call. This has been going on for 2 weeks.

I've called them 3 times on the same issue all last week. I got the standard answer, "we'll have to send a tech out to you"...

I just sent an email to Mr. Taubkin. This is not an issue were a tech has to come out if we are all having problems with these two channels.
dkennedy, that is why I hate calling TWC sometimes.

I figured it was TW...that is why I turned down their tech visit...3 times...
I understand how you feel when communicating with front office folks...it can be frustrating...

Hey guys I haven't been here in quite some time but I too have been experiencing lock ups on my hdnet channels and it's always when something good is on and the case with me is tha it has been happening for weeks also . I am having the same problems with my Showtime HD feed too . The rest of the channels are all fine. It really irks me when I go to to watch something as big as a U2 concert only to have it lock up in the middle of the song and everyone in the room looks at me like hey man what's wrong with your tv . I did the obligatary call time warner and complain thing but all they suggested was that they send a tech out . These techs are hardly techs at all they don't know the first thing about anything except stringing some cable from a pole . Sometimes I just hate time warner. Maybe they should look at this thread because I find it hard to beleive that Hank who lives in schenectady is having the same problems as me who lives in saratoga and it not being a problem somewehere at the head end . I think the more channels they add to the highdef service the more problems we are going to start to see from bandwitdth limitations. whatever it is I am paying almost 150 bucks a month to watch tv and I wish they could get it right .

Well just sent Peter taubkin a email explaing what is happening . I also just called time warner because this is getting rediculous. They told me that they would test my box and if the problem continued they would send out a tech . THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH MY SIGNAL OR BOX !!!!! This problem has been happening somewhere on their end. I hate calling them they are like talking to a wall . I even explained to him that people on tihs very board are having the same problems with said channels and he just brushed me off as if I had no clue what I was talking about . Maybe an email to Mr Cuban would rectify this problem . Anytime I have sent email to Mr taubkin he does everything but answer my questions. Oh thank you Sir we appreciate your business ...There is no problem with our service it must be your tv. Jedi mind tricks .....

Anytime I have sent email to Mr taubkin he does everything but answer my questions. Oh thank you Sir we appreciate your business ...There is no problem with our service it must be your tv. Jedi mind tricks ..... About a year ago, I sent Mr. Taubkin an email asking about ESPN2 HD. I (very politely) asked him to give me an honest answer when we could expect it to be on TWC. I also added a sentence at the end asking him not to respond with a generic answer like, "We are adding channels all the time. Check our website often." Mr. Taubkin never replied to my email.

It's been three days since my email to Mr. Taubkin regarding this issue and I've gotten no reply. I want to record Michael Mann's Thief tonight but why waste the time when HDNet isn't up to spec through TWC.

Hopefully we'll get this worked out. It's a shame we have to bypass TWC to get an answer, but, I'm not surprised at all. I do recall this happening before with HDNet & TWC. I'll have to look through old threads here but I do remember posting about this awhile back. Yep! I just went back to page 4 of this forum, HDTV Channel Lineup and on Nov 6, 2004, 11:02pm I posted the same problem we're experiencing.
