WMHT-DT's large station ID is temporary

WMHT's Manager of Engineering Operations David Nicosia had the following to say when questioned about the new, large station ID shown at the bottom of the screen:

"WMHT is required to ID the station once an hour. We are in need of a key component that will let us put this ID in.

We are waiting for this component to be ship to us. In the mean time I found a way to resolve this problem.
I thank you for your patience."

Yes, it's an FCC requirement. All broadcasters must ID their call letters, city of license and channel assignment once an hour.

So it's the FCC that's responsible for that stupid Logo crap we see on the network channels?
