INHD is Going Long with Commercials
July 18, 2005
Multichannel News Release
INHD, a high definition network, is beginning to run high def commercials, but viewers of the cable-backed HDTV programming service may not be able to tell that they're watching advertising because many spots will come in the form of long-form messages.
INHD says a big emphasis will be placed on offering media buyers the ability to run long-form ads, possibly in the form of behind-the-scenes programs for movies, auto browsers, travel programs or shows that could be sponsored by companies such as American Express.
"The line between advertising and programming is obviously blurry, and it's just going to get blurrier," said In Demand Networks executive vice president of sales and marketing Sergei Kuharsky.
