I set my 8300 DVR to perform a manual recording to record channel 1801 from 9:00 to 9:30PM tonight (Monday). I never get to see Raymond in HD because I am busy on Monday nights. Plus, tonight my SU Orangemen are on ESPN.
Thanks WRGB and TWC!

By the way, while watching CBSHD, I noticed they had a 2 minute HDTV commercial for all of their programming. Is that normal for CBS to run that spot on their HD feed?

I have heard it mentioned in the AVS forums, but have never seen it. I believe they run it on a regular basis. By the Way, Lenny Kravitz appears in an HD Target ad you may catch if you don't fast-forward through them.

Are they the only retailer that does this, aside from Circuit City running ads on Discovery HD Theater? This will be my first Super Bowl in HD... Do they run the majority of the Ads in HD, or just Standard Definition?

Yes, more and more HD commercials...somehow I hope the digital tier becomes the norm and standard (analog) channels are the option.

WRGB-DT is up with the TWC guide on 1806. At 6:15am 1801 was still up also as WRGB-DT.

Nice, and I found out that Letterman will soon broadcast in HD (I'm hearing reports inside that say April, but industry reporters are predicting September). That's cool. The holdup right now is converting the Ed Sullivan Theater's Control Room to HD, which is a pain in the butt because of the ancient wiring in there and the confined space. Initially, they'll have a trailer with HD equipment on 53rd Street while they do the conversion.

Yes, I knew you were the one who mentioned that. One of the bandmembers in the Letterman Newsgroup gave the date of April, so it might be sooner. Who knows.

Nobody has asked this yet, so here goes:
So, did WRGB/Sinclair cave, did TWC cave, or did they somehow negotiate somewhere in between?

So, did WRGB/Sinclair cave, did TWC cave, or did they somehow negotiate somewhere in between? 1. WRGB is owned by Freedom Communications, not Sinclair. 2. Nobody's saying... I am guessing that they agreed to buy advertising time on eachother's products. (Known as a cash trade and very common in existing analog retransmission agreements) 3. I am wondering the details of the sub-channel carriage... It's pointless to create another TW channel to deliver 6-2 as it is currently programmed (UPN; same as TW channel 4). But, if in the future WRGB intends to do something else with 6-2 or 6-3, did they iron out those issues in the current agreement?

I think TWC would just add the sub-channels for WRGB like they did for WTEN2 & WNYT2. WNYT2 ch.1891 is the same as ch.13 on TWC.

So is there a 18xx sub channel for 6-2 and 6-3?
