I just bought a new HDTV and until Monday WRGB-DT 6.1 and 6.2 worked fine. I tried moving the antenna with no results. Are they off the air for repairs?

I have no problem getting 6-1 and 6-2 in Guilderland. Maybe MasterFX1 can use his contacts to see if WRGB is having any issues with their transmission.

I'm not aware of anything. If skaggs is seeing them, I would think the problem is on the viewer's end. When this happened to me once, I eventually tracked it down to a coax connector that frayed too much. Try ruling out all the cables and connectors. A frayed or shorted connector may be fine for other channels and not OK for one in particular, so just because you see other digital OTA channels does not mean all your connection are OK.

I have had the same problem with CH 6.1 and 6.2. That was my best OTA channel and all of the sudden it isnt' even strong enough to stay on my channel guide.. cables are all good so don't know what the problem is

capejoe is in North Chatham and olivedog is in Albany. I'm in Guilderland with line-of-sight to the transmitter 8 miles away. I have an outdoor antenna mounted inside my attic.

I wrote a week ago about problems I was having receiving OTA 6-1.I live in Niskayuna I have an indoor antenna which works fine but over the past week I have had numerous problems receiving 6-1. I attributed it to the weather. However, if other people are having problems, could the problem actually be with WRGB?

Also, be sure to do a new "Scan for Channels." WRGB did make changes to their process a few weeks ago in order to adhear to a new FCC requirement. This may have confused some STB's.

I did perform another "scan for channels" on my STB after I read MasterFX1's OTA Alert post dated 12/9/04. Maybe that is why I can receive 6-1 and 6-2 and others can not.

It seems that I can now get a pretty strong/clear signal off of 6.1 and 6.2,,when I get it to stay in the channel guide. Has anyone else had a problem like this? I rescanned several times to no avail. My receiver has a setup menu that has the scanned chanels in a column which you must select and place in the 'guide channels' column in order to have them in the channel guide and be able to tune to them. I place 6.1 + 6.2 in the 'guide column' and exit. When I go to the program guide, they're gone...About 1 in 20 times they will stay there just long enough to tune to the channel which is crystal clear and signal strength at 75%. Could this be a problem with Ch6's new equipment or my receiver? I don't have any problems with the other OTA channels though. 10.1,10.2,13.1,13.2,17.1,17.3 all come in fine and stay in the guide....thanks..
