This appears on thier digital channel 1823.
What I find even more remarkable then the change in digital OTA transmission date is the poor spelling on the WXXA website and the fact they think their channel is on TWC at 1823. It is actually on TWC channel 1808. In the last paragraph: "fedidng" = "feeding"? "thier" = "their"? The change in the digital OTA date is bad news for those AlbanyHDTV users who wanted to see the FOX NFL coverage in HD. More on that topic is available here.

Skaggs, Does this OTA mean no Fox HD in time for football season, even on 1808? I am hoping that is still ago, as they pretty much already guranteed that. What do you think?

I was wondering this too. My guess would be that they will have HD for us TWC subcribers in time for pre-season football in August. We are getting a 720p upconvert now.

I am guessing the same thing. OTA does not matter to me, as Direct TV will not allow me to just add HD to my system without going to their 1st level of programming, I am a grandfathered SD ticket only subscriber for the NFL. So hopefully Fox will take care of us. GO GIANTS

It is my understanding that the HD football games will be shown on TWC 1808. The people that lose out are the non-TWC subscribers that are waiting for the digital Over The Air transmission to start.

Thanks Skaggs! Great news for us TWC subs, but that does stink, As I am considering going with OTA and Dtv for Football season.
