Good morning.
Just as a preface, I'm a newbie. I felt compelled to join this forum because I have been feverishly searching for a PSIP remapping list of twc digital channels which can be accessed through a QAM tuner.
I found a list for the Rochchester & Buffalo TWC markets, but none for here. And unfortunately, the forum search function here omits and words of three characters or less; I have not been able to see if there is such a "QAM" list here, as "QAM" cannot be searched. Nonetheless, if this is a duplicate post of another elswhere in this forum I apologize.
After much work I have compiled a list of remapped digital channels available in the Albany TWC market. I've only listed the viable ones, as there are several which only serve as a 24/7 ONDemand preview.
Here they are:
4-23: VTV 5-54: WTEN-DT (24-hour weather) 5-56: WNYT-DT/13-2 (24-hour weather) 9-1: WRNN (Infomercials) 18-6 (or 18-06): WRGB-HD 18-8 (18-08): WXXA-HD 18-10: WTEN-HD 18-11: WMHT-HD 18-13: WNYT-HD 18-15: WCWN-HD 18-96: ThisTV 18-97: Retro TV 98-9: "My 4" HD 101-7: NBA TV 104-18: WMHT-2 (also called "create") 104-19: WMHT-3 109-51: TWC promo channel (ok for now b/c it plays 24-hour Christmas music)
Any others, as I said, are merely ONDemand promo channels.

Thanks a bunch. It seems as TW is constantly shifting their channels around, given all the discrepancies between 2006 and now. Well..that and their SDV conversion is stripping away the channels that used to be available.

In the latest Time Warner notice pdf on their website, at the bottom it says:
Finally, we are currently involved in discussions regarding the services and/or stations listed below. While we cannot guarantee that we will reach agreement with the relevant programmers and/or broadcasters, we are listing these services/stations here in the event hat we are able to start carrying them in the future:
Bravo HD, CBS CollegeSports HD, Fox News HD, Fuse HD, MSG Plus HD, MSNBC HD, NBA TV HD, USA HD, Encore HD, MLB Network.
So I guess there is hope we will get some or all of these channels within the next few months!

Still no Sci-Fi.
Sigh.
Guess DISH (or DTV) is the only way to get that one (since we won't have FIOS anytime soon).

Time Warner recently signed an agreement to carry the NBC-Universal HDs, including USA and Sci Fi. They have already begun adding them in some markets. Hopefully, we'll get them in the next couple of months.

Has anyone seen any programming on NY1HD (ch.1859) that's actually in HD? What about One HD (ch.1845)? I was about to ask about CNN HD (ch.1846), too, but I see they're doing some Obama inauguration coverage in HD right now (1:32 PM). Honestly, this is the first time since CNN HD launched that I've seen HD programming.

I don't know about One and NY1 but CNN does have HD content pretty regularly. Their series called Planet in Peril was all in HD and I can't remember which one but I know at least one of their regular weekday news programs is in HD.
Also, all of their election coverage was in HD this year.
