Comcast Subs: Looking for TiVo? The cable operator opens a web page for the service. October 25, 2007 By Phillip Swann, tvpredictions.com Comcast has launched a web page to alert subscribers as to when TiVo's new DVR service will be available in their area. The cable operator announced this month that it has launched TiVo's HD and non-HD DVR recording service to subscribers in the New England area. The launch comes two years after the companies first announced a marketing partnership. The rollout was delayed by software testing and other issues. Comcast this month did not reveal exactly where the service would be offered in New England. But the new web page includes a search box that allows subscribers to enter their zip code to see if it's available in their area. A random check of several New England-based zip codes in Comcast markets came up empty. The web page comcast.p.delivery.net/m/p/com/tivo/default.asp does not offer pricing details, nor has the cable operator in its official announcements. But it does say TiVo's recording service will be fully compatible with Comcast's high-def lineup. "Comcast combines TiVo ease of use with Channel 1 On Demand—and gives you complete access to Comcast HD with tons of HD shows and movies," the site states.
