Cable Card produces better picture than 8300HD DVR

I had a cable card installed in my Sony DVR.

The HD picture when watching a program with the Sony DVR w/cable card is noticeably crisper & sharper than when I watch the same program with the 8300HD DVR.

The picture seems to have that eye-catching "pop" when watching with the Sony DVR w/ cable card.

I'm surprised it took you this long to try it. I have cablecards in my JVC and in two Sony 500's for 2 years now...excellent PQ...this is why I turned in my two 8300HD DVR's...

Are there any dual tuner DVR's out there to buy? With Cable Card, you can't get On Demand either, right?

Tivo Series 3 HD has dual tuner:

I don't think the On Demand is available with cablecard.
