Over the past three days I have had at least 6 shows not record that were scheduled to record...They are in the 'to record list' but aren't recording....Is this happening to anyone else??

I've had it happen all the time.
Even better is when it records 1 minute or 3 minutes of the show and then stops for no apparent reason.
The TW box is a piece of steaming poop compared to my Tivo (which I will say has only missed one show ONCE).
When that daylight savings thing happened, the stupid TW box couldn't deal with it, so it didn't record anything. I had to go through and "re-setup" all the recordings again.
I'm either getting the HD Tivo when it comes out, or by then, Verizon may offer FIOS TV so I'll switch to that and use the Motorola QIP box.
but the SA box with the SA software is absolutely atrocious and unreliable.

This is one of the reasons why I have switched to CC and the Sony HD DVR.

Yeah, my problem with all the "other" boxes (except the Motrola unit) are that they rely on the notoriously unreliable TV Guide software.
And they can only watch/record one thing at a time (no dual tuners).
So, in essense I'm paying more to use a box that may gain me more "reliability" (in the sense that all the "other" boxes do is simply record X channel at X time--they lack the Tivo ability to "see" that the show has been moved to a diff. time/day and compensate for it), and lose the use of dual tuners.
I'll just bide my time for another 6 months or so and see what Verizon or Tivo come out with.
I guess what I mean is that I have a hard time forking out $500 (yes, some of you were lucky to get the Sony unit for $250) only to have it be as "stupid" as the SA box (has no concept of "first run" or "season pass"as we know it in Tivo-Land) AND lose dual tuner.

While I've had this problem in the past, it hasn't happened recently. When it did happen (around daylight savings last fall), I complained and they refunded my DVR fee for the month. There was a thread on this here. I'd like to ditch my 8300 HD, but I found it doesn't save that much money on your TWC bill. See my rant here.
